Mauritius is situated in the Indian Ocean, 855 kilometres in the east of Madagascar in front of the east coast of Africa, nearly 5000 kilometers far from Bombay in India, nearer to Australia than to Europe. It is a small volcano island of the size 47 to 64 kilometers. Our paradise island is surrounded by the world's warmest sea. You can spend a lot of time in, on, under or beside the Indian Ocean or enjoy kilometers of powder white sand on the beaches, that we are using sometimes for training sessions.
The village of Cascavelle is located on the west coast of the island. It is a sub locality of the Black River district. The four quarters of the village are Beaux-Songes, Upper Cascavelle (Camp Creoles), Lower Cascavelle (Camp Bombay) and Xavier. The well known Casela-Bird Parc is belonging to the grounds of the village just as the oldest indian church of the country, which was build in 1902.
We have a lot of activites and associations in our village. One of it is the Cascavelle United football club, which is struggling hard to bring sports and leisure to the inhabitants of Cascavelle and the surrounding areas. The club has several subdivisions like the Burnley-Team, the Senor-Team, the Veterans, and the children teams, the Juniors and the Minis.
